To our Jewish brethren, wherever they may be:
I hereby issue this earnest appeal to our Jewish brethren, who are possessed with the midah of compassion, and who love charity and chessed, on behalf of the strong and exalted organization Ezras Yisroel. Those who stand at its helm perform all of their work with sincerity and propriety. They do not receive any compensation for their work - it is all done for the sake of Heaven.
They help many families - including true Torah scholars, widows and orphans, sick people, and brokenhearted individuals. Many people in desperate situations have been saved by their support, which is as invigorating as fresh water to a weary traveler.
Therefore, it is a great obligation to stand at their sides, so that they can continue to strengthen and to support those families, whose eyes are turned to them, so that they can assist them. [It is an obligation] to support them in every possible way, for this is a strong organization, and many of our Jewish brethren await their assistance.
May the merit of the mitzva protect and bring salvation to all who will take part in it, and who stand at the side of these poor people. May all of the supporters be blessed from the Source of all Blessing, with everything their hearts require, with goodness and with blessing, and with every good thing.
Harav Matisyahu Chaim Solomon
